We proudly welcome all to our 2015 Showcase performances on Saturday, March 28th at Oakland Technical High School. Over 100 talented Oakland youth will demonstrate their talents and skills in two spectacular shows guaranteed to amaze and inspire. The hard working 3rd-5th grade students will perform juggling, acrobatics, stilt dancing, clowning, unicycle, hambone body percussion, hip-hop dance, balancing acts and much more. Performances will feature the Prescott Circus Performance Company from Prescott Elementary School in West Oakland and students from after school programs at Lafayette, Laurel, Manzanita SEED, Manzanita Community, Parker, Korematsu, and Piedmont Avenue Elementary Schools. The performances will again include accompaniment from the Oakland Spirit Orchestra, featuring talented young musicians from 5 West Oakland public schools.

Oakland Spirit Orchestra (OSO) is a thirty-piece band that features talented kids from Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary, Lafayette Elementary, West Oakland Middle School, Westlake Middle School, and Montera Middle School. The kids construct their own arrangements, write their own music, and improvise.  The aim of OSO is to uplift the spirits of the world through music and kindness.  For more information visit their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/OakSpiritOrch
