We hope you all have had a rejuvenating Spring Break. We’re so happy to have your child participating in the Prescott Circus program this year! We’re writing to share some important opportunities for our students and families this spring. SPOTLIGHT: 2024 Black Joy Parade Success!
We’re still feeling proud of students and families from all of our after school circus classes who came together to walk in the Black Joy Parade back in February. Thank you to all of our families who supported their child’s participation and to those who joined us that day. We Looked GREAT! Moments like these are where our students get to creatively express themselves and build confidence by performing the skills they have been practicing throughout the school year. PCT 2024 COMMUNITY SURVEY
Now in our 40th year, we are reflecting on our programs and practices for Oakland youth and exploring paths to long term sustainability. As caregivers of our students, your feedback and input is essential to our future. We invite you to complete our 2024 Community Survey. The survey should only take 10 – 15 minutes of your time and provides an opportunity to share your thoughts about our strengths and opportunities. There is also a section to share if you’d like to get more involved. Thank you in advance for helping empower and engage our children through the magic of performing arts!

PCT 2024 PROGRAM WIDE SHOWCASE. Saturday, May 4.
We will be holding our annual public Prescott Circus Showcase on Saturday, May 4th at Studio One Art Center. This is an opportunity for our students to participate in a professionally produced show and share their talents with the community. We really hope your child will be a part of this very special event.
We will be sending Showcase info and registration forms home with students next week. Please ask your child about the Showcase information, complete the registration form and have your child return it to their circus coach as soon as possible. PCT SUMMER PROGRAM REGISTRATION OPEN
Registration is open for our six-week 2024 Summer Circus and Academic Program. This is a FREE program for current and former Prescott Circus students ages 8+ and takes place at Prescott Elementary in West Oakland. The program combines circus and theater activities with an academic curriculum to support literacy and critical thinking to prepare students for the coming school year. The program includes field trips and culminates in a Family Literacy Day and free community performance series. Priority is given to current and former PCT students and OUSD students who qualify for free and reduced priced lunch.
Summer Program Dates: June 3rd – July 12th, Mon-Fri 8:30am – 3:00pm
