Greetings from Founder, Aileen Moffitt

We’ve always said: All it takes to be a clown is a warm heart and a red nose. If you bring a warm heart, we’ll provide the red nose!

I am so proud of the generations of Prescott Circus stars who have brought hard work and passion to the school auditorium and then out into the world. I always love hearing the stories of how being part of the circus carried over into all other aspects of their future – in school, with family, in careers. I love knowing that they have maintained so many of their friendships from their days at Prescott, too.

Retirement is an adjustment. I am keeping busy as a member of the Prescott Circus Board of Directors and assisting at some of the special events. I am also working on a children’s fiction book about ‘a year in the life of a youth circus’, based on the 1992-93 Prescott Clown Troupe. Our show was called Go For It.

Hooray for Prescott Circus! Keep on keeping on. In the current climate, it’s a miracle that PCT is still standing. Not surprisingly, this fits our show titles over the years: Ya Gotta Have HeartCircus With a PurposeWake UpGet TogetherEverybody WinsKeep Your Head UpNever Give UpYes We CanWork It OutStill StandingThe Show Must Go On.

My hope is that future generations have this opportunity. Our new Executive/Artistic Director David Hunt definitely brings the enthusiasm, the expertise, and the heart to carry it on. I support him wholeheartedly. Please help with donations, volunteer time, connections, ideas, magic, and blessings – all are welcomed and needed.

Peace.
